Message - Triumph Boat Owners - Photo Gallery Message - Triumph Boat Owners - Photo Gallery And I just locked the hatch down on the chain as well as secured it into place on the cleat inside the anchor locker, and it held it just fine ![]()

I have a 195 cc and this is what I did to mine. It holds the anchor very securely, no rattling or shaking. Message - Triumph Boat Owners - Photo Gallery

rscott,
Did you use screws or through bolts to attach the tensioner? And did you use adhesive to hold the screws. I like the way you moved the cleat.Thanks. John D. |

I used long stainless wood screws and used Rule Elastomeric on the screws before installing and to fill the holes from the old cleat location.
Here is the description from the photo: I bought an adjustable Stainless Steel anchor chain tensioner from Boaters World, $35.00, removed the anchor cleat and moved it over, then mounted the chain tensioner where the cleat was for a nice straight pull, just flip the lever to release or store the anchor. Works great, no more ratling anchor! Here is the link to the tensioner, I see there $41.00 now. Windline Anchor Tensioner - AR6490C - BoatersWorld.com Roger

That second photo of the anchor tensioner is mine. I used stainless wood screws with elastomeric. I chose not to move my anchor cleat and have the tensioner off to the side and it works great. Holds the anchor nice and tight and is easily released and set out. I added only 4' of 1/4" vinyl coated anchor chain.
It literally took me about 10 minutes to do.

I have a 195 DC, I used to leave the anchor under the pulpit pulled tight and tied off. I usally had problems putting the boat on the trailer as the anchor would hit the roller. Now I let enough line out so that the anchor will stow in the anchor locker. Works great this way and I don't mind the line over the bow.

We have a 210, not a 215, but an anchor hanging off the front meant the boat would not fit inside the garage - only have 2 inches to spare. From Anchor Concepts, we purchased a Model 30 Standard HydroBubble Anchor, One SW Stainless Swivel, 300 ft of 3/8 inch rope, with 10 ft of stainless chain, and (1) shackle. With the boat in the garage, we keep the anchor disassembled in the anchor locker. It only takes a minute or two to put it together, and it can be set up as a breakaway if you are anchoring over any man made reefs or rocks. Judy and John Willis are the owners and their web site is Anchor Concepts.
Upon looking, looks like they retired, but their anchors are still available. The anchors really work great and we are sure glad we have ours. May not be what others want, but we are sure happy.
