Bait tank pick up / Drain leaking

Hi Dick,
My 2002 210 the bait pick up and the drain out let are leaking, I believe throught the caulking, or perhaps what ever is underneath the caulking.
EWould this be considered a warrenty Issue??? if not what would be the best way to proceed to fix?? Is the caulking easy to remove???

I have an 02 170 Bass and had a problem with the baitwell leaking at the inlet tube that connects to the tank. I just put a good even layer of silicone sealant around it and it seems to have fixed the leak. I have not had a problem with the drain, yet, but then again my boat is designed differently from yours. Try sealing it with some waterproof silicone sealant. My warranty is out by time, I guess yours may be too. Phil

Your boat should be covered under warranty, Check with your local dealer. By the way, Silicone does not stick to Polyethylene. We only use Rule Elastromeric for sealing.

Thanks Dick, As for the local dealer....He was giving the Impresion that it would not be....Does that warrenty differ from dealer to dealer?? Remember by boat will be 3 years in my possesion come August.

No, I talked with the factory. A dealer will not be reimbursed if the factory doesn't agree with the problem. Of course the boat must be registered with them in your name.
