You can buy the covers at Boaters world or Boats US. You need a circle cutter to do it right but a drill and a saber saw will do in a pinch.

Remove the old lids. Clean off the old tar glue. remove water.

Mark the panels and cut the holes. Install inspection covers, reinstall using lots of Rule. Install panels back using lots of Rule

Rule RULES.

Splash Wells

Has anyone looked at drilling a hole from the splash well to the bildge? The wall looks about 4 inches thick and probably has foam between the walls.
I ment to ask, the Rule sealer is hard to come by (I had to mail order the sealer), has anyone tryed the 3M 94 primer that we use to help stick the numbers on the side as a primer for other brands of elastmer sealants?

Barry

i think the guys at merritt said that that you cannot drill thru that area . best to put some kind of access cover to get to the water

Access Covers

Hi All,

I had the dealer do the splashwell mod with clear RA Bud 1/4 Turn access ports and my only regret is that the O-ring is so wimpy (small in it's cross-section) and bad in it's design that it leaks. The OEM ports installed on the boat would have been a better choice. Possibly a Taylor-Made product.
