PAX,
Congrats on the purchase. You should try to come down and join us on the Cape first wknd in June. Looks like there will be around 5 of us Triumph boat owners there to do some fishing and have some fun! Check out the post in the general post section regarding the New England TBOT(triumph boat owners tournament). All the info is there.

Congratulations on your purchase. Now you get the fun of outfitting her. I just ordered most of my electronics and can't wait to start installing. It sure is great to finally have my boat in the garage.

About Time

I second Fishahn. In fact, if this is your first boat, you'll learn a lot from the NE TBOT. Personal instruction on all sorts of stuff.

I agree with you guys. I would love to join but unfortunatelly will not be able to make it that weekend. I am attending a graduation in Chicago They should be forbidden during fishing season.
I truly hope that I will have other opportunities to meet with my fellow NE Triumph owners. Anybody fishing the Massachusetts bays regularly?

Thanks Vic,

I stopped by West Marine and was tempted to buy the Garmin 188c (GPS/Plotter/Fishfinder). The 178C has a greater resolution but does not have the fishfinder. What are you getting?

Hey PAX,
I go down to the North Shore on occasion, usually launch out of the Merrimack, but may explore Cape Ann/Gloucester this season also.

Digital Sounders

I need to replace my Humming Bird this will be the third one in 10 years seems they last about 3 seasons all just start shuting themselvs off. for about $300 Ray Marine has a digital color sounder(DS 400) Suposed to be the best deal for the newest technology. The demo at the store was impressive.I would reccomend seperate electronics ie sounder, GPS chart plotter, if something goes wrong you wont be out both units
