Wow! I'd love to see some pictures of those stripers. I'm looking forward to catching my first at some point in the near future.

I've got every Friday in December off to try the stripers at oregon inlet.
30lb class fish are showing up in the shoal water but there has been 4 boats lost in 2 weekends fishing for them. i am not going into the shoals myself ,but hopefully the big ones will be showing up in the ocean before Christmas.
if you can you are welcome along with me or if you wanna drag your rig there we can tag team em

Hey Robert. Thank you so much for the invite! Man I wish I could do it. I had the boat at our place in Oriental this past weekend but the weather did not cooperate. And I've got an unusually busy December work schedule plus family holiday events so I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to make it down. However, if something breaks I may contact you to see if the invite still stands. I've never fished for stripers and I'm "chompin at the bits" to do it.

I hope you'll post some shots of your catch. I'd love to see the fishing section of our site grow as well as the boat forums. These boats have been called "fishing machines". I hope we can show our fiberglass friends how productive we can be with them.

awesome

Nice Larry, I'm up in Vermont but made it down to the Vineyard and also to Plum Island area several times this past summer with my 210. Did pretty well on the Vineyard for stripers and blues, also in the Merrimack early season. Not as many as you though. Although we did catch 30 stipers my first trip down with the 210 and a bunch the second time too. On the Vineyard didn't keep track of all the stripers but we had 6 keepers. Maybe we can hook up next summer some time. I wouldn't mind learning a new spot to fish, although I usually stay away from the city if I have to trailer the boat.

take care,

fishahn (Rich)

last time I saw you was after your 1st keeper of the year , looks like you kicked it to high gear. 723 wow I know who I'll be shadowing next year. I didn't keep track but I know I wasn't close to that. Blue fish this year was great , alot over 30" and a ton of dog fish but I can't seem to catch those big stripers.. I'll see you out there in the spring after the ice thaws

Mike
