Range on a 210CC

I am strongly considering buying a 05 210CC with a Yamaha 150 HPDI. I am wondering what kind of range I am looking at with this and wondering how far offshore some of you guys have been in yours?
Thanks
Frank

We have been out to the channel islands off california. About 50 miles roundtrip. First trip was kind of snotty and the boat handled it well. Litlle wet but we left the enclosure at home ( I recomend it.)

We are about six months into ownership and love the boat. Fifteen year old son does the trailering and has hit a few docks, etc. No problem with the plastic hull. Small scrapes buff out. No scratches like fiberglass. We also just wash it down and air dry it when we are done.

Range depends on speed etc. but we seem to be in the three to four per gallon range when averaging 18-22 knots. We are running a 140 suzuki. and do open it up when the water is flat.

We have a 2003 210cc with the Yamaha 150 HPDI and it is a very good match for this boat. We can top out at 45 mph with full tank of gas. If we are in rough water we try to cruise around 25 mph with trim tabs half down. We have never really measured the range but let’s just say that we have been out for 8 hours and never turned the motor off. We came back and we still had 3 quarters of a tank left. Now that’s what I call economical (at least compared to other boats we have owned). I think the max range with the 150 HPDI is around 300 miles. You will be very happy with a 2005 210cc and the power the 150 HPDI has.

Good, luck and if you have more questions on the engine let me know.

Frank, I run my 210 on regular 100+ miles total trips out of Apalachicola into the Gulf of Mexico cruising at near 30. I have the 140 4 stroke and figure my range to be 280 miles even though I often average just over 4 miles per gallon on a trip. I think the longest round trip I ever run is was around a 176 miles.

My 2002 115 merc without t-top maiden voyage roughly 140 miles.....35 gallons. But now with t-top clam seas more like about 3, to 3.5 miles to the gallon.
