Fuel line fitting-2001 logic
Just a note. Last weekend I experienced a fitting break off right at the fuel tank. Seems the deck board was touching the 90 and hose nipple that comes out of the tank. Well the end result was the nipple broke right off due to constant rubbing and flexing of deck board that covers the tank and bilge area. Has anyone had a problem with this, if not you better check. When you reommve the rear deck cover I noticed an imprint where ths 90 and hose were rubbing.

fuel line breaks
Aside from friction, the alcohol and solvents that are meant to prevent enameling when you add fuel stabilizers and additives to your gas all play havoc on your fuel lines. If you wait long enough before maintaining fuel lines, you could save your injectors from fuel enamel only to have them croak from rubber/solvent compounds gumming them up. Especially when you winterize, when you use an additive to fix one problem, you can create another a season or two down the road. Change those fuel lines like you'd change a car's coolant lines, and stay away from from cheap knock-off lines if you can! Wightwash

I had the same broken fuel nipple last summer
I had the same break last summer.
I thought the problem was the weight of my 2 passangers who were both in the stern of the boat. But the bottom of the floor board definitely shows the abrasion where they have rubbed. Have you thought about another support bar close to the fuel fitting? Mike |

I also got out the router and made a pocket where the hose was rubbing on the deck board, and not the top of the fitting. This way if the deck board flexes it will touch the 90 degree fitting and not the hose or fitting going into the 90 comming out of the tank.

I have a 2003 210CC. I think the bar is in the same place as it was on my 2000 and 2001 versions, but I'm not positive. Anyway, I'm not experiencing any rubbing from the fuel fitting. The deck does have a 6-inch circle routed out about 1/4inch deep on it's bottomside in the area of the fitting - though it seems a little misaligned....but so far no problems with rubbing.
