most of the water problems involved the early year models and the factory has addressed the majority of them that involved structural or mold issues.
i often use this example for comments and i will use it here for you: picture your boat as it comes out of the mold as a thermos bottle. the hull deck, and gunnels are 1 continuous piece of plastic with foam being injected where air would be in a thermos bottle. everytime a screw is added or a hole is drilled , it allows water to enter the "vaccuum" foam area if the screw or hole isnt sealed properly. the more stuff you add ,the more chances down the road for water to intrude the foam if the seal fails. same holds true for any boat plastic ,glass you name it. we put drains in the transoms as a way of detecting if there is water intrusion and as a means of getting it removed from the foam. th main thing everyone needs to focus on is to keep all there penetrations sealed so as to not allow water to get in. if there is water then it is more important to find the source of the water rather than complain about there being water there.
i have an 01 210cc that had many of the design problems that allowed water in and i have made all the modifications myself to eliminate all but a few drips after a day's worth of fishing. there is less water than my friends 05 23 foot sailfish has after a day on the water. the ease of working on these boats oneself gets lost sometimes when the complaining begins. i'd buy another 210 even if i had the $47,000.00 to put in a new sailfish or any other 21-23 ft fiberglass boat.
'nuff said
Robert

My money is going on the Triumph. I agree that the 2005 and 2006 have their bases covered. Anything else I want MM can do. They rule!
Here's a question I heard yesterday....Is the Triumph more likely , less likely or indiferent to lightening strikes? Told them I didn't know but knew who to ask! It's a valid question. <*(((((><<

Newbie here, just happened upon this site, never knew it existed(i will be hanging around indefinitely)

I do not own a Triumph(yet), I owned a Fountain 25 Sportfish Cruiser W/A.....great boat, yet has as many if not more problems than what i have been reading(and hearing) when asking owners about there Triumphs.

I plan on a leftover 04 or 05, although I like the changes on the 06's, but the prices seem to have rocketed up a bit.

I have ridded myself of the above mentioned hulk for a lighter, easier to trailer rig. I have been checking these boats out since they were Logics, and was sold on the old sledgehammer demonstration I saw years ago. I fish a rocky river here in PA often, so the hull design beckons me. I am tired of missing fishies because I don't want to get into shallow water and risk bottoming the Fountain, plus it takes 2-3 hours to clean and wax that pig after a heavy use.

Welcome to the site. There are lots of posting and articles to read, which translates into learning more about these plastic boats. There are also many folks that will try to answer questions you may have. Please let us know what you end up purchasing, and pictures are always good.

LOL! If you saw my 190 up close, you wouldn't ever believe the fishing I do. She gets beat up pretty bad but it doesn't show.

Every Spring, I drool over those glossy glass boats - willing to do all the upkeep. By the time August rolls around, I'm back satisfied with my plastic maintenance-free hull.

I am almost positive that my wife and I are purchasing the 210 CLE(if we can find a leftover) or a 215 CLE. I need something that size(at least). Are there any plans on bigger boats in the future from Triumph with this hull design & material? I wish that the biggest was closer to 23-25, but I have been on the 210's out of the water and they seem to have the storage & fishing space I need.

I do have a question about fuel economy, equipped with say a 2 stroke 150, how do these boats fare, and what is the approximate range they have, just curious if a canyon run from the LBI area of New Jersey is possible. Just a question.

Thanks

Mike
