2005 210 Cc

I was wondering if there are any known problems with the 2005 210 CC Triumph boats. I have been reading these problems people have been having and was wondering if any of them relate to the 2005 model.

Any input would be helpful.

Also, are there any modifications that need to be done to a 2005 210 CC?

Tarheelborn66, welcome to the web site. I have a 2005 210 CC, and to date we have not experienced any serious problems. We ran a little harder than we should have in some rough water and a couple of bolts loosed up, but that was really our fault.

If you read the "Articles" and what others have said in the forums, I hope that you will come to understand that this is a GREAT boat. We agree that there is no PERFECT boat, but these plastic boats do a great job for us. It is also my opinion that they keep getting better every year. There are also a lot of folks that take great pride in modifying their older boats to be like the new ones, or even better.

Alot of the problems with the wavey hulls where cured in the 2003 & up models by a change in the hull design. As the years progressed from there they have been mods done by the factory to improve the interior of the boat. It is my understanding that from 2003 up the hulls are pretty much the same mold.

I have checked out the boats and like them. I was just wondering if the water in the transom cavity and other problems like that have been resolved or is that still a problem? Or are the problems I have been reading about on older model boats?

The cure was closed cell foam blocks where installed in the cavity to displace the water ( around march 04 I think) since the foam weight is way less that water. Triumph sent blocks out to poeple like myself to install in the cavity and then reseal it. There are a few different ways to correct that problem that owners also came up with. I think that particular problem was corrected at the factory on late 2004 models and you will find a lot of owners like myself have made the mod on their boats also. I have a 2003 model and it only took me about a hour to install the materials from the factory and reseal. BTW the cavity is just a couple gallon open space made in the hull mold with a plate covering it and does not allow intrusion into the inner hull. The easy way to check a boat and see if it has had the repair is to shake it on the trailer by the motor bracket and see if you can here a sloshing sound. If the fix has not been made the cavity is open and allows the water to slosh back and forth and you will be able to hear water sloshing around.
PS do not stand in front of the bilge incase it comes on.

OH yea, a lot of the problems you hear are on older boats that have not had the a fix modification done to them.

Thanks Tums. I am going to buy a brand new 2005 210 CC in the next week and was just wondering if the problems with water etc. were resolved with the 2005 model or if I would need to be on the lookout for it.

Also, thanks OspreyVic for your input. If either of you or anybody else has any comments they would be greatly appreciated. Like I said, I am going to buy the new boat regardless, I just wanted to know what to look out for or what I need to check once I purchase and use it.
