To winterize or not to winterize

I'm debating winterizing my 210 chaos this year. I didn't last year for thought of fishing for tuna during the winter. I just made sure that I ran the engine every 3 weeks or so. Seemed to work out fine. This year I'm pretty sure I won't use it until maybe late Feb., so I'm debating getting it winterized. Any pro's/con's/tips from you guys would be appreciated.

P.S. I run the Yamaha 150hp ox66 saltwater series 2

mowerchaotic, If you dont winterize your rig, make sure to add a double dose of fuel stabilizer ( stabill ) to the fuel.

If you go striper fishing at Oregan Inlet all dec and jan and feb with us, you won't have to worry 'bout winterizing!!!!!!!!

I have the same thing. Not going to use the boat much for the next several months. Since I am in florida so not much chance of freezing but I am going to give the boat and trailer a cleaning, service, etc.

Several people have said still put fuel stablizer in including above.
So here is my question. I am a new boat owner so don't know the answer.

Is there a fuel stablizer just for outboat engines. Or can I use a good product I can get from the auto store?? I have the 150 Yamaha HPDI 2 strock.
