We have only had our 215 for a week but depending on the load and weather/wind, the tabs definitly help. I would not buy a new boat without them. Looking at cost for new ones if you installed them I think you would be happy

Cheers

Hay Gang,
anybody that still has any doughts about installing or ordering trim tabs on your boats should read Dean Travis Clark's article in December 2007 issue of SPORT FISHING magazine. The article title is Trim Tabs Should Never Be an Option in the Better Boating department on page 56. Its a very good write up about trim tabs, how and when to use them, what effects they have on a boat and about all the different kinds of tabs you can get. Check it out and good reading, Bob.

No deep V hull should be without them.
The modV Bay 190 seems fine without.
May also be related to width vs length vs draft.

Do we gotta engineer on hand here?

My 21 foot "La Panga" has them and they are great. I fish 2 to 3 guys on my boat and sometimes they are big dudes and the tabs really help balance things out. In addition, when you have waves and current on one side, then you can still balance out the boat. Go for it!
