I’ve had my boat pick up enough water on plane to fill my bait tank once when I was storing frozen squid in there with the drain plug out. My drain plugged with squid from the exit grate all the way back to the tank! After removing my rear deck and drain hose to clear it I got out my Dremmel tool and cut out the two middle bars in the grate, now the exit is as wide as the hose!

Live well
I installed a "BAIT SAVER" aerator bubbler thru top of live well on my 210 and wired it to the elect. supply feeding the live well light and mounted a rocker switcn on the access panel. I fill the tank thru the bait well pump and then close the valve. Even in this southern heat it keeps shrimp alive all day. The BAIT SAVER comes in two lengths. The long one is the perfect length. The bottom of the bubbler sits about 1/4" from the bottom of the live well. I let it run from friday to sunday non stop with no noticeable drain on the battery.

I spoke to Triumph today and was told that this is the way it comes from the factory. I was also told that if enough people call in complaints about it that they would probably do a recall on all of them.

Baitwell
The 210 (04) baitwell is not suited for NC king mackerel fishing. The bulge at the back for the light puts menhaden in a corner. Menhaden are hard enough to keep alive without a road block. Have you ever seen a square Turkey House?
I don't understand the obstuction just to house a light. The baitwell in MHO is not up to the quality of the product. Some of the folks that tournament fish the 210, such as "What- Ever" are a distinct disadvantage. My thoughts Recycle |
