Those of you at the factory tour this fall, was it apparent if the 235 CC:

1) Has a bow pulpit (Don't want)
2) Integrated swim platform (or bolt on platform like other models) (Want)
3) Has bow filler platform/cushion like the 195 so seating can convert to sun platform. (Need)
4) Will have removable porta-potti or integrated plumbing head in console. (Either ok)
5) Has full bench seating across aft like Cobias. (Want)

I'm hoping to get a boat within about a year. I think I'd just get the 215, but the lack of in console head is a deal breaker for me.

Thanks.

Jonesje2, It sounds like your family has some of the same issues as my wife had when we went boat shopping. The following is from the “Article” on why we purchased a Triumph. We sure can NOT say that the same would work for you, but it might be worth a try.

My wife came up with the requirement that a porta-potti had to be on board. Well, in our home, “If Mama ain’t happy, nobody is happy.” We took wife to see many boats and she climbed in and out of center consoles that had porta-potties. I kept hearing the same thing from my wife, “they are too small to turn around in and they make me feel claustrophobic.” During a visit to a dealer that sold Triumphs and other boats, I talked the wife into trying the front “Mega Hold” and pretending there was a porta-potti in it. Then I asked her to look around and tell me what she could see. SOLD. The mega storage in front of the center console is so deep that she said that a boat would have to be right next to us to see anything, and there is NO claustrophobia from a small enclosure in a center console. Besides, we can always install a Portable Privacy Partition from Overton’s if needed. We had originally wanted the Triumph porta-potti enclosure, but then they changed the design so it would only work if you had a T-Top.

Vic, You certainly have my number. Guys will almost always choose the "aft head" (swim platform) over a stuffy marine head. Based upon pictures alone, I have assumed that a console head is better than the Triumph mega hold, but based upon your comments I think I will delay judgement until after the upcoming Tampa and St. Pete boats shows where I (and more importantly the wife) can compare the 2 side by side. I'm planning to go the T-top route so the factory enclosure may be the solution. By the way, I'm actually just up the road from you in Lithia, FL. Thanks for the comments. I'll have to take a 2nd read through your article. -Jeremy

We were told that the 235 will be at the Miami Boat show. Then after that, is out for sea trials the month or so.
I was planning on attending the Miami Boat show in Feburary. I've never been to that big of a boat show. Anyway, there are no Triumph dealers in GA so there will not be any Triumphs at the Atlanta Boat show.
Don't know why Triumph doesn't just bring some to Atlanta anyway. Bet they would be a show stopper with the sledge hammer demo!

This is the photo of thye 235 mold.

Jeremy, my wife would be happy to share her opinions. My e-mail is on this site, so just e-mail me and I will get it to the better half.

She made the decision based on her wants and needs. I am just very happy that I showed her the Triumph alternative. Based on our experience, unless you plan on using the porta potty at the dock, the enclosure is a waste of money. A boat 50 yards away will never know what is going on.

Being retired, we are usually home. So if you want to see what we have, just let us know. AstroDiver was even kind enough to stop and visit on his way to the keys.

Vic,

Thanks for the help. We'll try out the Triumph arrangement at one of the upcoming boat shows. We frequently have a couple other people out on the boat, so I think the enclosure may be important, but I see your point about it not being necessary for privacy from other boats.

From what I understand the Miami Boat Show is still the target. Having it there is very important to Triumph. And as mentioned before they plan to take it on the water and abuse it for a month or so to work out all the kinks. It will be fun posting pictures from the Miami Boat show so if anyone is planning to go take a camera.

Is anyone heading to the Miami boat show to post up some new pics of the 23? I have been looking at the 21 for a couple of years and may hold off until I can check out the 23 and see some reviews.

Overboard fish drains?

Thanks.
