Boat show in San Diego

The first thing I wanted to do was find the triumph dealer displays.....WhAt did I find....or should I say what did I NOT find. No 235. he states they are not built yet!!! You see I do not have a good dealership down here, like I have said before. I finally embassed him by letting him know That I know they are built. He finally said, He does not want to buy the first year, due to buggs in all new stuff. WELL why could'nt he man up to that in the first place instead of lying. I can respect that answer.

I would say to the dealer ,,, if and when he gets them in NEXT YEAR that I would rather buy the No. 235 from a dealer that has been selling them for a year and has had time to work HIS SERVICE BUGS OUT than to buy from a dealer unfamiliar with the “new to him” product that he has to offer. Then send him a picture of your new boat in front of your new dealer.
I bet there are many Triumph dealers that are more than ready to sell a ‘NEW” product!

Genelie, I agree with you about our San Diego Triumph dealer. I bought a 150cc from them today and they left me with such a bad taste in my mouth I am thinking about backing out of the deal and driving up to Riverside to Johnson Marine and buying a boat from them.

HERE IS A THOUGHT. Since you might be upgrading, to the 235....I am pondering the idea, since my 210 is paid off. If I like, and can be worked into the budget.....a possiblity of 2 sales might get us a good deal????

Triumph 235 will only be delivered after major testing

Guys, one thing to keep in mind about the time frame for production and delivery of the first 235's is that Triumph decided early on that the boat was not going to be rushed into production. This was in order to pound the heck out of it for 200 hours mostly in rough water and small craft warning conditions, so that they could find any problems before they went into production and were subsequently sent out to dealers. Triumph has spent more time on this product than any preceeding it. The boat they tested in Marathon is now being taken apart to see if there were any internal problems and if so to tackle them before beginning production. Triumph has assured me that customer’s are going to get a very high quality product because of this painstaking and time-consuming process.
