Hey guys,
I made the trip down Hope marina, had the pleasure of meeting Paul Miller AND took a test drive in the 235. The boat was powered by a 250 Yamaha 4-stroke and had a few options installed. The options included freshwater wash down, jump seats, sony(I think) radio, T-top w/ electronics box and T-bag, T-top enclosure, trim tab indicator, and maybe a few others. The yammy was very quiet, even @ high rpm's and was very very strong, which was a pleasant surprise. I don't remember the size prop we were running, but around 4500 rpm we were cruising @ 37 mph, read on the console speedometer. The boat had plenty of storage and I thought I would need a longer arm to reach the bottom of the baitwell. Of course the ride was nice and smooth, pretty much what we've come to expect from a Triumph. The water conditions weren't terrible, but it was very windy and alittle choppy on the creek. The boat did not have a bow pulpit installed, but does have a pulpit and windlass option available. On the way out I spoke with Mike Foxwell owner of Stafford Marine and he said that boat priced at $54,000 including trailer and that he just sold his first 235 earlier that day. I told Mike about my 215 and some of the things I've done and he said " That's a nice boat, I'd love to have it as your trade in!" I thought about it hard for about 1 second then looked at my wife, no way, I could see it in her face. Oh well, maybe it's for the best. Mike also said that he's getting calls from buyers as far away as Ocean City looking for used Triumph's! I had a great time at the show and I would like to thank Paul for being such a gracious host and taking the time to allow me a test drive. -JB Last edited by bigmall; 05-07-2007 at 08:53 PM. That is interesting isn't it. I haven't seen the 235 yet but I'm looking forward to it. But having just bought my 215 Chaos last spring and only had it on the water 5-6 times so far, I think I'm good to go for some time to come.

I just bought my 215CC, so I'm out of the market for a while. I still like to see what's going on with new products. |

I took a ride on a 235 today
Hello,
My local Tampa Dealer Outcast Watersports had a demo day today at a local boat club in Tampa. They had brought several boats but the one I wanted to ride in was the 235. It was great! It had the 250 Yamaha Four stroke and we got up on plane pretty quick without the trim tabs and topped out at almost 45 mph. We were on a River so there was no chop but some wakes from other boats. The ride was very soft and crossing the wakes seemed to feel as if we were in slow motion, very soft. I found the seat extremely comfortable in the leaning post configuration or using the seat itself. Coming off of my 190 Bay there seemed to be quite a lot of room but the bow area seems a little tight. The livewell is huge with a companion fresh water sink/bait cutting station. I love my 190 Bay and will stick with that for a few years but I could see the 235 in my future. Tampafrank |
