Smile 235 Anchor Ball

Would anyone have any suggestions as to the size of an anchor ball to be used on a Triumph 235?

Really depends on the size of anchor and amount of chain you got - not size of boat. Use the ring sold separately with the ball and this technique. It helps and makes a world of difference. I used a cabriner and lose two anchors this way. The ring the deal.

Remeber you run a 1/4 cirle around the anchor posit to pull out backwards. Pulling straight against the anchor even with a ball does nothing. Be surprise how many do this wrong in the Delaware Bay. Alot of balls can be found floating in the bay during Bass chunking season.

Dont cleat off from the stern EVER!! to raise the anchor. Clear the prop with the anchor line with good helmsman steering (I Have a rod rigger that makes sure the line clears the prop).

West Marine guys can help. Boater World guys don't seem to know ...

Thanks for you input Eric. I think I'll touch base with West Marine and see how knowledgeable they are.
