Smile 235 Electronics

Hopefully I'm going to share some pictures of my electronics package. The Simrad AP 24 Autopilot(Back ordered until March) will be installed under the Clarion Stereo to the left of the Furuno Navnet unit. I wanted to install a thru-hull transducer but the factory wouldn't give me it's blessing so I settled for a transom mount. I think it's an issue they should work on as considering the size of the boat and it's capabilities I would think more than a few new owners would like to have that option.
I also spent $400 on brackets that were necessary to mount the radar on the T-top. Again, considering the size and application of this boat this issue could be addressed also. Just my thoughts.
I hope everyone enjoys the pictures. Would enjoy any an all comments both negative and positive. Thanks!

Outstanding installation!! I love to see quality workmanship, I'll bet you can't wait to get her on the water.

That's a nice setup you've got there. Hopefully one day I'll get a chance to take a ride on one of the 235's. I had a 150CC, now I've got a 190 Bay. Some friends of mine had 210's, and I had a chance to ride on theirs.

Maybe this is a little nit picky but, I was wondering why you put that big beautiful screen in the center of the console instead of in front of the helm? Anyone have any comments on that?

I think I would prefer it in front of the helm so it can be read easily while underway.

I just looked closer and can see now that it probably did not fit to the left, sucker is darn big.

Hi Codfish,

I had to make a compromise with it's location because the way the dash loses some height on either end the unit would not fit. In reality it seems worse than it really is as I've stood at the helm and I think it will work out just fine. It will be about a month before I get her in the water. I'm really chomping at the bit. Thanks for your input.
