The Word on the 230?

Dick, any word on the 230 Triumph? What hp rating for outboard, weight, included rigging, target price etc?

As of 6/17 the word from the factory is, "the 23' boat is at least a year to a year and a half away".

By then I'll be living somewhere else - hopefully around salt. I bet she won't be trailerable though. Will certainly give it a look when it is out. May even be worth a trip to NC.

Thanks, Dick. I heard the roto-moulds are made in Montana.....I will be heading that way again in March 2006....If you know the exact location, maybe I could stop by for a peek, haha.

When the design is completed, the mold will be built at the factory in North Carolina. The boat will be trailerable. [ info. as of 6/22/05 ]

Trailerable is a relative term. My F150 is a great tow vehicle and would certainly handle the "230". But realistically launching a 230 twice every weekend sounds like work as compared to my 190 - by myself. A slip will be in order in my mind with the upgrade. Certainly looking forward to seeing the boat when released.
