Looks good. When alone I have a 25 foot line with a snubber. A loop tied in is draped over the trailer winch support arm. The other end is terminated in a clip that attaches to the bow eye.. Before floating off I attach 15 foot lines fore and aft to cleats, which I retrieve with and extendable line hook.
Definately number one priority and what most makes my temper flash is make ready away from ramp...Many a time I have on and off loaded in 5 min. while Idoits are tying up precious ramp space ..........Steve |

Gone are the days of put in the plug and off you go, you must write technical books or something. Do you do everything on that list each time you put the boat in and out? I just make sure we got enough ice on the beer and make sure the plug is in.
Got tired reading your information, but found a nugget of interest about the mywedge. What are those and how do they work? You state its a motor support, is it like a transom savor? |

Here is a link to the company M-YWedge.com. Great product. I used one on my 2003 210 and will use them on my new 215.

My-Wedge
My-Wedge works pretty good. But my mechanic told me to get two and put one on each piston rod so to ensure that the tilt tubes are evenly supported.

Xibox:
Glad you found something of possible value and sorry you were board reading the article, however it was NOT written for the experienced boater. There are many new boaters on the site and more joining each day. New boaters probably do not have experience with backing their trailer, much less the launch and retrieval process or ideas on how to preserve their investment. I consider myself a new boater in that this is my first boat on over 40 years. If I can succeed in having a few new boaters think about what they want to do prior to launch, the launch process, and the retrieval process, then I have accomplished what I intended. By thinking ahead and planning, maybe a new boater will not cause you a big delay at your launch site. If I can also help other new boaters save money and aggravation by extending the life of their boat, trailer, and batteries, then I will call the article a success. Vic in |

I find the wedge thing facinating, thank you for the links, first I have heard of them. A question for you that use them, do they rest against the trim cylinder?
I apologize Vic, I said tired of reading, as in a lot to read. Your list is comprehensive no question. I was curious whether you accomplished each step every time you put in and out. It was not an attack on your experience by any means. |

Sorry Jim, I have no idea as to part numbers. These items were installed by my dealer “Merritt Marine”.
I do have some suggestions. 1. Use the “Search” button at the top of the page to find what others have written on the drain plug and fish box drains. Many others have done the work themselves. 2. Check with your dealer about having them do the work. 3. Contact Dick at Merritt Marine. They are a site sponsor shown on the right side of our home page. I am sure he can provide you with any info you want, including selling the parts. Hope this helps. Vic in Osprey FL |
