Dauphin Island (TBOT2 Host) Before & After Hurricane

I thought some of you would like to see some before and after photos of how DI has been treated after the TBOT2. Here is 3 sets of photos provided by the USGS of DI. In all 3 sets you will see reference points marked in yellow arrows. The 1st photo in each set was taken in 2001, the second after Ivan in 2004 (months after TBOT2) & 3rd is after Katrina in 2005. Note in last photo of 3rd set an oil rig in the edge of the photo that the hurricane brung in. You can also see a little oil slick along the beach from the rig in some of the 3rd photos from each set.

Wow! Hard to get happy after that! I'd sure hate to own that house in the last set of pictures on the left. Better they never thought they'd live that close to an oil rig.
