filling screw holes?

I have several holes I would like to fill/patch left over from screws used to attach items to the boat. Is there a Triumph patch kit out there or should I just use marine caulk etc--more cosmetic work than anything.

You have basically two options: You can use Rule to seal the holes or you can fill them using a plastic welder. If you just want to keep water out and don't mind the holes showing, filling with Rule would work just fine. Otherwise, go the plastic welder route. There are several threads on this matter...just use the search button from the toolbar. Good luck.

I save all my drill shavings and hole saw scraps then use a soldering iron or hot screw driver to melt them into the screw hole for larger fixes I use the shavings and a heat gun with a foil funnel on the end to focus the air stream. If you don’t have any shavings you can shave off a little plastic from inside the console where you’ll never see it. The fix isn’t flawless unless you buff it out but I never bother.

I seal off old screw holes with Rule and use a PE rod and plastic welder from HarborFreight.com . You just have to have a compressor. Like CalicoK, I don't buff.
