Master Blaster

Well, after trouble shooting my Master Blaster's Shurflo water pump, I came to the conclusion that the pump was dead. I noted on West Marine's website of a customer's comments that the one year warranty units die after one year. How nice.

I noted that West Marine sells a unit with their name on it for under $100 and it has a 3 year warranty. I bought one of those and replaced Shurflo unit. The unit has some cool quick disconnects in the package too!

I uploaded some photos of my Master Blaster Squirt Gun/Wash Down unit. It is rated to 3.4 GPM at 70 PSI. It has a small strainer built in but I have mine set up to run through a Shurflo HD strainer before the pump's strainer, as you can see in the photo.

I place this unit down under the starbord back seat area, run the pickup hose and power connector wire through with all of the engine connects. Then, when I want to use the Master Blaster, I drop the pickup hose in the water, open up the seat, flip on the power switch, pull out the hose and get to squirtin'!

The water hose is long enough that I can go to the bow of the boat with it. I once got myself unstuck with it by blasting the soil out from under the bow of my boat to get the hull down into the water. It seems that during the night my boat worker it's self father up on shore, to far for me to push off.
With the Shurflo pump I had about a 25 foot range. This pump has more PSI so I'm hoping for more range.
