Do you folks know if MA has reciprocity with CT regarding registration? Or does it matter, so long as you have a 'current' registration in any state?

Thanks. Yarmouth would be about a 3.5 to 4 hour drive for me. I'll have to get the wife to approve it first. We've got a new baby and I haven't breeched the subject of a 'fishing trip' yet. Fishing trip implies the whole weekend and the wife doesn't go - especially now with the baby.

The LI Sound option out of the CT River would work better for me - but as I said, I'l still try to go if at Yarmouth, MA.

Really enjoyed TBOT II at Dauphin Island. EVEN THOUGH DICK (Reno) BROUGHT THE RAIN DOWN WITH HIM... he he he.

I think the NORTHEAST would be too far to haul my 170CC from New Olreans...

Good luck.

SteveZ

ps. Dick, good to hear the wife is doin better...

Falmouth

I think Falmouth would be the best. It is fairly close once you get onto the Cape, has a great new boat launch with ample parking, plenty of lodging and drinking establishments, and huge variety of fishing choices. I too have a new baby in the family and will start to break news of possible fishing trip, will check the calendar and figure out dates, I like last weeknd in May, however it is Memorial day, not sure if this would cause conflicts with family members, or if it would be a good thing. If not maybe the weekend after would be better.

TBOT - last weeknd in May

Memorial Day weekend is definately NOT the weekend to do it. Family obligations, traffic, everybody in the Northeast trying to get their boat in the water. Weekend before or after may make more sense.

Agreed! Both the roads and the water would be hectic that weekend.

Falmouth - that's a funny name - should be foul-mouth.

I'm 90% committed at this point, and just getting excited thinking about spring.

memorial day wknd

yes, that was my concern about Memorial Day wknd also, even though it is early in the season, I think for the fishing we may be better the wknd after rather than before, but at this point that is just a guess. The way the weather is lately one would think the fishing would start early this year, but who knows. Let me try to make some calls for lodging and see what I can come up with. Will also run it by the wife and try to get some feedback!
Even if we just get a few of us the first year, it could be a good time and something to make an annual event!

Fischer53, maybe we will have to let you in with your boat just to make more of a party of it! Even though I'd love the local knowledge on board my vessel.

I'm also going down to the Vineyard for a week starting June 18th, so this could be a good warm up for me!

talk to you soon
