I bought a 170 three years ago, loved it and just moved up to a 195. Coming back for more is always a good sign. Little/no maintenance, great factory support and durability. First time boat owners will love the fact that they don't have to worry about bouncing off the dock the first few times as they are learning to handle their boat. My dealer had a hull section and a hammer in his showroom and invites all to take a whack with little or no result. Pretty impressive.

Waves and 190 Bays

Sure have had some other great boats Mako, Whaler, Dusky. My little Triumph 190 Bay has issues like all the others but I can say without a doubt that this boat is easy on the wrist watch in reference to the cleaning aspect. I have with some (very careful) boat handling with this vessel out in one of the big reservoirs in Arizona in a serious wind storm with 6 foot some approaching 8 we are pretty sure of waves, lot’s of short chop and had only minor bow over washes felt safe as did my son and another fishing partner. Sure we may have been a little crazy but we were prepared PFD’s and all gear locked down, not to mention just our water shoes and swim trunk as we all were soaked from the side sprays, my only regret was not having a under water video camera. We watch several other boat proceed and only to return all leaving the ramp in disgust. The reward the knowledge that this thing floats better than the others I have had, and the serious large mouth bass bite that we found on a leeward side of a main lake island that lasted over 4 hours until the wind died. I will buy another Triumph without any hesitation but it will have to be in the 24 ft range before this fishing battle wagon parts my hitch.
