Cool

Hey TAGNBAG (like that name! ) As I mentioned to you on PM, I purchased a 2006 215 Chaos this year after selling my 2003 210. I had a difficult time choosing between the 215 and the then new 195. I really like the 195 and it probably would have been a better choice for me in some ways as my kids want to ski more than fish right now and we go to the lake about as much as I make it to the coast it seems. But I decided I wanted the extra room for fishing. The 195 I'm convinced would do great offshore but if you're regularly taking four guys out I think you'd be happier with the extra deck space of the 215. I've got a Yamaha 150 4-stroke on my 215 and it is all the motor I need to get offshore. I think the 195 would have been better for pulling a skier with the 195 though. But the 215 has done that well too. So, I think you'd be happy with either boat but the 215 is going to give you some more fishing room. It is amazing how much difference 2' makes. Have you been on both boats? I suggest getting your three friends and climbing on both boats to see how much space you take up. Just a thought. Good luck with the purchase. I'm sure some of the folks that bought 195's will respond and give better input that I have. Congratulations on the upcoming purchase and we'll see you at the MackFest next year!

TAGNBAG, I suggust you price out the two boats and look at the differrence. For me it was about $3500 and for that little difference I opted for the bigger boat. If it had been 6 to 7K I might have looked much harder at the 195. The deciding factor was my wife. She wanted the 215.

Truthfully, I think the lines of the 195 are a little more asthetic but the storage and ride of the 215 made it the winner.
