Now I am no expert, but on that bilge I did not see the intake for the water, or is this just the electonic switch only, and if so I wonder how it would work with the bilge.....Need more infor for us dumb guys.

No such thing as a dump question
That is just the switch, and water over top of the switch is what makes it signal the pump to turn on. Other products for them can be found here...

I will vouch for the waterwitch switch. I was unhappy with the float switch internal to the bilge pump so I swapped it for a new pump and a water witch. No problems since then.

I posted some photos on the swap out, some time ago.
