Advice on purchasing 195 or 215CC

Hi All at a Great network,

This message comes all the way from Down Under Australia from the city of Perth. Thank you for the warm welcome.
I intend getting into a 195/215 CC boat but need the advice from all of you who are far more experienced. I have seen the 195CC but not the 215, I am considering importing the boat from the US any suggestions on good dealers or really good 2nd hand ones. I look forward to your advice on the different boats.
The water here in Perth can be rough once the sea breeze gets in other than that its beautiful. Its the sea that we spend most of our time in. I was impressed with the Triumph boat the moment I saw it and for someone like me who is just going to take to boats i thought it would be an ideal choice for its resilience and an overall low maintainece. I plan to leave it in the saltwater most of the time. Any advise ??? I look forward to your replies and my time with the boat.

Ozzie

Ozzie,

Welcome to the site. You might want to check with Merritt Marine in North Carolina. I don't know if they would ship a boat to Australia but it doesn't hurt to ask. They're a site sponsor and are listed on the home page.

Good luck

Ozzie, DeerHunter has good advice.

Merritt Marine has shipped Triumphs to many different countries. That would indeed be a good place to start your search.

Good luck. We love our 210CC.

Hey Ozzie

You seem to have the same thought process as me.

I live in Darwin and I have been researching boat import from the USA, and the Triumph 195cc looks like it may suite me.

Have you worked out what you are going to do yet. Maybe we can learn from each other.

Regards

Craig

Hey Aussie, There is a dealer in Geelong, Victoria that would be able to help you. We looked at importing too but turn out to be too expensive. Brett really helped us out and we love our 170.

Ozzie,
Look'd hard at the 195 and ended up with the 215... Sooo glad I did. After running the 215 offshore and fishing with my boy's I would have regreted buying the 195. Dont get me wrong the 195 is a nice rig but a bit small for what we do. Spend a couple of extra bucks... you will be glad you did.

Ozzie,

I think I would go with a 215 down under where that little shark called a Great White swims.

Ozzie, if you are going to fish, the 215 is the way to go. It has an awesome amount of storage, the fishboxes are plenty big. If you are going to use it more as a cruise around boat, the 195 cc has a better seating configuration. Either way you can't go wrong with a Triumph.
