Warning To All Owners: You Cannot High & Dry A Triumph

As always, the great people at Triumph (Bryant) called me back the same day to answer my question......You can not high and dry a Triumph

Triumph boats require a 4 bunk support like our matching trailers. High and Dry's are only capable of giving you 2 bunks, because they need the outside area for the forks.

Triumph said that they will consider a bulletin to the dealers since some dealers have given me contradicting information. Also, I counted over 10 Triumphs at the High and Dry's I visited sitting on 2 bunks, according to Triumph, this will void their warranty....so BEWARE.

Over time, with climate changes, the boat will deform according to Triumph.

I still love the boat and no high and dry is a small price to pay for all of the advantages you get with a Triumph.

Yikes!

I just forked over annual fees for storing my brand new 215 CC at a dry storage. I was planning to launch the boat in late April (still cold up north here), and ditch the trailer out back of my house. I haven't seen any Triumphs in the racks, mine will be the first, I will be following up with marina to discuss. Thanks for giving the heads up. Also, I saw a thread regarding the pros and cons of dry storage. I think it depends on where you live, and how many months out of the year the boat is going to be in the water. My previous boats (and my new boat) only see about 7 months, the rest of the time, layed up. I did the math on how much it costs to paint the bottom, rent a slip (or haul the boat and launch at ramp with a lot of weekend warrior yahoos in front of me...painful man, you can't put a price on this), repair damages due to being outside...and for the incremental price of rack storing...it make sense for me. The other motivating factor is that I am closer to death than I am to birth, so paying a premium to have my boat in the water, gas tank full, ice in the cooler, launch check performed...I show up at dock, turn the key, and away I go. I have a pretty good situation as well...I have a house on the bay, so when I pick up my boat, I keep it slipped for the weekend at my place, and put it back to bed (about 5 miles away) when I am done. They even hose the boat down and flush the engine for me. Life is good. Last but not least...if you want to treat yourself to major entertainment, grab a beach chair, a cooler of beer, a tin of skoal, and camp out at an active boat launch ramp...I've seen some pretty funny things. Cheers!

Yes I do that, we have on a tiny boat ramp area for the San diego bay,
it is about 40 wide and 70 feet long, Imagine, 3 or 4 21' or higher boats launching at the same time......really funny sometimes, and then when the rookies show up......yikes, I have had to replace a prop, due to backing into the jetty to avoid a rookie not paying attention.

High Dry Blues

Hey all, I got the same info from my dealer. They has several triumphs in their storage facility and say the older models may have had some problems with sagging hulls and lids not closing, but the new models are not to worry about. I had asked about putting the Triumph on my boat lift, and was told it would be fine. After reading this, it appears that their is some sort of communication failure between factory, dealer and customers. My boat has had one problem after the other since I bought it, and I have yet to be able to use it, so Im not sure I can add any other value to conversation, other than the dealer told me the same info about the high dry storage.

My Boat is an '07, doesn't get much newer

Triumph said that sorage at a high and dry or anything other than the supplied trailer can lead to a whole load of problems. It's most ly due to the boat changing with the seasons and not being properly supported as it is doing so.
