Triumph Needs to Advertise

We're members of the US Power Squadron, and know quite a few fellow boaters. At a recent get together, we announced our new purchase of a Triumph boat, and nobody knew what a Triumph was.

We live within two hours of the factory in Durham.

Questions we got:

"Wait a minute, isn't Triumph a car? Are they making little boats now?"

"You said it's made of plastic? You mean fiberglass, right?"

"Huh?"

"Never heard of it. Where's it made?"

The best advertising is right here. After a few trips to my local dealer and the Boston boat show I was really serious about getting one. After reading more about the boats here and other places I was sold. Just remember the more ads the higher the price. One of the reasons I liked Triumph was the price. You can find similar boats (Not as Tough) for alot more money an have alot less features. Just remember "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"! My 2 cents.

You have a point, Mike. Actually, my wife likes the idea of having a boat nobody else around seems to have or even know about, so the obscurity can be a bonus to many. As long as Triumph is profitable, then nothing need be changed.

I'd just hate for Triumph to miss too many sales goals due to lack of advertising and end up having to eventually cease business. I think polyethylene boats are the future, but so far it's the world's best kept secret.

I agree with Mike. The biggest ads in the boat mags are paid mostly by the motor industry with support by the boat manufacturers. The more ads, the higher the cost and I feel.........Triumph should be the best low cost boat out there...at least it was 5 years ago. Still affordable but are venturing into the competitive zone with the others.

Triumph boats are better due to this website and have increased in retail price not lowered.
Strong words but true.

boat demolition derby Advertisement

I would like to see a "Boat Demolition Derby" ad for Triumph. Get a bunch of boats to smash into one another and see which is the last one still floating.

Video Clips used in boat advertising

Links below to some interesting video clips which serve as potentially powerful advertising tools for boats (not unlike the "Bubba Test" video clip):

This site is some of the best advertisement for Triumph.

They should just put a pic in a magazine with TriumphOwners.net as the only
words printed.
