My daughter came up with the name for our 07 215 cc. "The O.C.D." Since we fish out of OC. Md. we all thought it was a reference to that location. Then she explained that when it comes to fishing and boating I have a serious case of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Hence the name

My wife loved the movie "Mrs. Doubtfire" so it got to be a running gag in our family about a line in the movie: "brace yourself Effie". Whenever someone on our boat would hook a fish they would shout "Brace yourself Effie". That evolved into calling the boat "Effie". It stuck.

In the tradition of the female naming of boats. My daughter, CARLY and half of her middle name MAD.

Sometimes I see cars passing while trailering and many times, when a female is in the passenger side of the other car, they seem to stare real hard at my transome. I suppose they think someone's mad at me for buying this boat and her name is Carly!

Well at the time I named my boat, I was more into Astronomy than I am now. My number one sport is Scuba Diving. Thus the name, 'AstroDiver'. Reflective RED letters.
Around the 'Astro' part on the aft port side of the boat are some glow-in-the-dark stars that form one of the constellations. On the other side is the 'Diver' part with a diagonal white stripe, like a dive flag.

I also use this name as my handle in Geocaching.

From the Jackson Brown song Rock Me On The Water

Oh people, look around you
The signs are everywhere
Youve left it for somebody other than you
To be the one to care
Youre lost inside your houses
Theres no time to find you now
Your walls are burning and your towers are turning
Im going to leave you here and try to get down to the sea somehow

The road is filled with homeless souls
Every woman, child and man
Who have no idea where they will go
But theyll help you if they can
Now everyone must have some thought
Thats going to pull them through somehow
Well the fires are raging hotter and hotter
But the sisters of the sun are going to rock me on the water now

Rock me on the water
Sister will you soothe my fevered brow
Rock me on the water
Ill get down to the sea somehow

Oh people, look among you
Its there your hope must lie
Theres a sea bird above you
Gliding in one place like jesus in the sky
We all must do the best we can
And then hang on to that gospel plow
When my life is over, Im going to stand before the father
But the sisters of the sun are going to rock me on the water now

Rock me on the water
Sister will you soothe my fevered brow
Rock me on the water, maybe Ill remember
Maybe Ill remember how
Rock me on the water
The wind is with me now
So rock me on the water
Ill get down to the sea somehow

Talking Boat name

My 2004 210 is my first Ropelene boat. I can leave it to my grandtwins who can leave it to their grand kids. Then if the family should decide to get out of boating they can recycle it!!

21,683 1/2 gallon milk jugs, no caps, equals a wonderful 210 Triumph.

thxs

recycle

PS.
The word on the street is Blackbarry Marine WILL take the Triumph Dealers Trophy from the 2007 Tournament!! And it will be done in *** kicking fashion!!

My thoughts are that it remains to be seen.
