Mine is much like many others...named for my wife, but given her unique name it works out really well...Her name is Carma so of course my boat's name is "Good Carma".

We named our boat after our kids. Our daughter's name starts with E and our son's name begins with Z. Hence EZ-REELIN.

My wife and I are dog lovers. Every pay raise or bonus or extra bit of cash we tell the dogs we have extra for dog biscuits.

Much to the dogs' dismay, BISCUIT MONEY is out in the garage.

Before I got my boat I fished at a park wall on the Hudson River. No doubt there was only one name for the boat -- "Off the Wall"

I named my boat 'Alway$umthin' because that's the way life is.. Whether it's doctors (health), kids, family, work, church, homeowner, or boating, you name it. The constant you can count on is it's always somthing. That's not a negative thing, it's just real.

When the kids were down from college (in Michigan) for Christmas we were all working on a "simple" name, thought about Bob, along with a picture of a bobber, then our daughter said how about Stanley and have a picture of the Octopus that is the mascot for the Red Wings. To explain, in the "old days" it took 8 playoff wins for a NHL team to win the stanley cup, this was signified by the 8 legs of the octopus, which is how he became a Detroit Red Wings Mascot, so that's what stuck, Stanley (although we are Hurricane fans too since we moved to NC in 2006, Go Canes!)

I named mine for the two money funds that helped me pay for it after I retired. One fund was for unused sick time (28 years of service) another was a extra tax deferred account I paid into for years. The Tax fund was run by a guy named Ed Jolly so I named the boat "Jolly Sick Time" and dont have to worry about monthly payments having paid cash for the boat and electronics.

Jolly that is a good one. My wife read this thread and asked me if people still named boats after women like in the old days. It appears from reading here it is rare. Now she is questioning the name and says she might want a different name.

Now that I got here reading this site can you give feedback to her on her concerns? I am fine with the name "The Tracy 'D" but she is uncertain if it is in style.

Thanks, Roger & Tracy
