Triumph expands dealer network in US

By IBI Magazine

Triumph Boats, a subsidiary of Genmar Holdings, has added 10 new marine retailers to its US dealer network. Effective immediately, the new representatives include Reed's Shoreline Marine of Manson, Washington; Northwest Marine of Portland, Oregon; Lighthouse Harbour of Greentown, Pennsylvania; Wakeside Marine of Elkhart, Indiana; Heritage Marine of Beaumont, Texas; Modern Marine of Ft Pierce, Florida; Heartland Marine of Sebring, Florida; Shelter Bay Marine of Marathon, Florida; and Salty Dawg Marine of Jacksonville, Florida.

"Over the past several months we have restructured our operations, improving our ability to respond to evolving market conditions and to deliver a higher level of service to our dealers," says director of sales and marketing Don Cary. "Additionally, we accelerated the delivery of a full range of sales and marketing tools — brochures, manuals, point-of-sale and retail advertising materials — to support dealers throughout the model year, and expanded our consumer advertising schedule to reach a larger audience. As we implement these efforts, it makes sense to expand our dealer base into important new markets."

Based in Durham, North Carolina, Triumph builds fishing boats, sportsboats and pontoon boats ranging from 3.7m-7.6m (12ft-25ft) in length. Each is built using Roplene technology, a patented polyethylene-based multi-rotational thermal moulding process. The group's products are sold through dealerships in both Canada and the US.

I understand that Salty Dawg is no longer a dealer.

The article referenced was dated March 2005. At that time Triumph still had the Windsor Craft line. They are no longer making the Windsor Craft pontoon.

BTW, Triumph dealer Merritt Marine in Hillsborough, NC purchased the remaining inventory of Windsor Craft pontoons. You can see a couple of them here:

NCangler thanks for the post. I had no idea Triumph made a pontoon/catamaran style boat. If triumph made a 191 f/s in a catamaran version I would buy it for sure. That would be great on the steep waves I face on the great lakes.
