Hi & repairing ropelene

Hi.

Just joined the forum from the UK where we run 4 170CC Logics (c1998) as hire boats in Poole Harbour, Dorset. Three are fitted with 15Hps & one with 25Hp. They are great boats for the use that we put them to which is hiring them to (generally) inexperienced users in the harbour.

As you can imagine with hire boats they take a fair old pounding and i'm now into our winter maintainance program and wanted to repair some hull damage by filling them. My question therefore is:

1) I understanding there are welding guns - where can i get one of these from - a website link would be great
2) I've saved plenty of ropelene from when we've been cutting bits from the console but where can i get spare ropelene from
3) We don't have a UK dealer/importer - who of the US dealers would you recommned that I chat to for advice?

Thanks in advance for assistance

Regards

Paul

Welcome Paul! I would recommend that you contact Merritt Marine, you can go right to their web site and talk with Dick there or even on this site. You can get the welder from a company called Harbor Freight.
