when you say relevent info, if you requireing about instructions, then you are right. I just have photos, with just a little explaination. I can give you step by step if you need. It is easier than you think, just a bit time consuming...the more beer you drink the longer it will take

cables in t -top
hedgetrout , with most t-tops there are holes in the tops of the main tubs of the t-top ( the bigest tubs) you migth have to take off the canves to find these holes. you should have holes in side your center consoul where the tubs bolt to the deck. than it just a matter of getting some wire are string down these holes so you can tape your gps and vhf cables to and pull them hope that helps

Not sure if you were able to find my pictures here they are. Here are the ones for the radar.
Here are the ones for RADIO, GPS, and Electrical wires. As you can see, I drilled holes in the sides of the legs & center counsil, I then fed a 25 guage wire through, then attached the wires/ cables and pulled them through. OF COURSE I ran the wires / cables through rubber gromets first to secure from water. I also had wire looms made in my T-Top to hide wires going from side to side, and from front to rear. Hope this helps.

Thanks very much , It looks like a great instal. My 195cc has arrived and the T top has pre installed pull strings from the top to within the CC. I have routed the GPS and VHF cables this am, quite painless!

Thanks verry much, just as you said, tubes all the way to the CC and would you believe, they had draw wires pre instelled. The cables for the GPS and VHF are installed.
More advice though. I want to run powar to a trolling motor plug up the front. There is a twin core running up through the center storage box which dissapears into a small conduit which appears to route under the right side of the anchor locker, it must come out somewhere under the bow sprit. And advice or do you know someone who has installed a plug outlet up front? Andrew |

If you are running using pull cords....never hurts to attach a second pull cord so you always have one to use if you decide to run something later....like adding an electronics box and network cables etc. I did find an 8' section of 1/8 or 1/4" steel cable works well as a fish in t-top tubing.
Succesfully running cable in t-tops give you that pumped up happy caveman feeling when you're done! |

Wiring for 195 cc
Its been a big weekend
I have found a solution for the trolling motor plus site up front. There is a wide bore conduit running from the forward center under floor storage locker to underneath the bow sprit. The cavity undreneath the proximal part of the bow sprit can be accessed by removing the plate that guides the anchor chain from the bow sprit to the rode locked. It is a simple matter to pull a power supply through and mount a socket for the trolling motor above the forward cushions at the front of the boat. I will post some picks when complete. Andrew |
