home from storage Finnaly

I finally got to get my boat home to get it ready for the season. It needs a good bath and a few other things. Here is a list. I have to get another bilge pump As I forgot to pull it and the winter fried it. This will be my third pump. You'd think I would have figured that one out by now. I have two lights on the trailer that need replaced. Any one know how to change out the tail light on an ezloader trailer where the bolts are rusted into one piece and I cant get the lens off because the head of the screw in the corner is stripped out and cant be turned. The fender maker light is easy. and I need to replace those stupid perko nav lights because they wont light. The problem is the power wire in the light came off the contace and the wire is so short i cant resolder it. I also had the freeze and thaw tear up my splash well covers. ripped the screws right through them. I did manage to get the covers off today and cleaned the rule off. Now I just need to clean and find some way to reseal with the torn up covers.
Oh well a little time and a little money and I am good to go.

Hey spring is here!

The EZloader trailer (at least mine) has plug in wiring for the tail lights. Their web site has a chart you can download that shows the color code for tail/brake/turn/stop.

I replaced my bulb trailer lights immediately with LED. They cost a bit more but should last a lifetime. My rig will be in and out of both fresh and salt water so anything electrical really suffers.

Good luck...

If you not trying to salvage the light, I would just take a hammer to it and remove it in pieces. The screws and bolts should be able to be reached easier once the light is off. A pair or two of vice grips should take care of the rest. Good luck, glad to hear your almost there. Fishing right now is fantastic!

I almost did that on mine....I did the drill out method untill the head was no more. Only to find out the bulb was good, and the wiring was bad....So I had a trailer place redo the wiring. ALL is good. new harness = $ 8.00 , labor 1 1/2 hours @ 89.00 smile on my face after done PRICELESS.

If it was standard wiring, I would of done myself, but I wanted all fender and side markers lights working, so I paid for the labor to have it done.
