We made the 6 O'clock news

I took the family out for a ride on Memorial Day after breakfast and we, and our Triumph ended up on the local news. We were headed back to our dock and noticed a camera crew on a dock interviewing a group of people. Just about that time the camera swung and followed us on the water. Its just a few seconds of us but here it is. Hopefully this link will work.

Where is all the Palm Trees?

And I thought I saw somebody wearing a jacket at the same time? Dang, the global warming trend must not have made it up that far north yet (sometimes I crack myself up)

The boat looks good! But if you want to run around in a bunch of boat traffic come on down Brother... This past weekends fuel prices did NOTHING to slow down the number of boats on the water here or the lack of parking at the ramp. Matter of fact it reminded me of Tarpon Fishing in Boca Grande Pass which is like fishing in a Wal Mart parking lot

rscott,

Where do you usually launch from. I launch Fairport and troll up to the bubblers at the power plant.

I dock in the Mentor Lagoons just past the yacht club. Is your boat new this year. The guy at the dock next to mine said he saw a Triumph going North on Rt. 44 two weeks ago. My brother is on the Lake County Sherrrifs Dept. dive team and said he saw one at the ramp on Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend. I will be out trolling tomorow morning, Friday, off of the Lagoons, about 8 AM till noon. We picked up one 25 incher on Saturday. My call sign on the radio is "Natalie B".
Roger

Here is a Smallmouth from the bubbles last year.

21 inches, 7 1/2 pounds

Very nice. I was on the news this past weekend also. They were asking about fuel prices, I told them that was one of the reasons I bought my 150CC, 8MPGish. Then I pointed over to a 21' inboard and said I could have had that boat for the same price, but would have seen about 1-2MPG out of it. ;-) Plus the less big boats on the water the better for my little 15', we were getting tossed around by all the 30'+ers this past weekend.

Yep, that was me, We got checked at the dock Sunday launching out at Fairport. That was probably me as well on 44, heading north to the launch. The Sheriff has quite a nice setup with those twin Verados.

We've been out four times this year and while it hasn't been great yet, my brother caught his personal best smallmouth, 5.2 pounds. Good luck, I'll see ya out there!

Mike
