Through Hull and Hull warranty
All,
I received the response from triumph in regards to my Through-Hull modification and hull warranty. I have included the e-mail below. The installation must be done exactly as in the e-mail, any deviation needs to be discussed with your dealer and Triumph.
Quote:
Frank, I just got word from Triumph that the modifications you’ve described below will not void your warranty.
Good luck.

Subject: Modifications And Warranty
Frank,
I own a 2003 170CCand would like to modify hull to facilitate a high-speed pickup for the baitwell/ raw water system and install another through hull for a discharge from a cockpit scupper. The Details are included below.
1.Install thru-hull mirroring the size and location of the baitwell pump thru-hull, on opposite side of transom, bed with Sudbury Elastomeric Sealant.
2. Drill through transom behind trim-tab brackets for hydraulic lines.
3. Install High-speed pickup for baitwell through Hull Bottom. Installation procedure would be:
a) Drill 1/4" hole through inner and outer hull
b) Drill 4" hole through Inner Hull and foam to inside of outer hull
c) Weld 4" dia. polyethylene block to inside of outer hull, block same thickness as foam + inner hull.
d) Weld Polyethylene block to inner hull
e) Drill 1-1/8" hole through outer hull and block, centered on the 1/4" hole.
f) Forespar Maretron Thru-hull installed in hole, bedded with Sudbury Elastomeric sealant, install Seacock on inside of hull screwed to polyethylene bock, plumbed to Dual-Port Baitwell Pump.
I would like to know if the above modifications would void my hull warranty.
Sincerely
Frank Dixon
