The Hull Truth Plastic Attitude Adjustment

I Suggest All Members Go To Thehulltruth.com And Do A Search On The Boats Forum By Typing Triumph Boats Or Logic Boats And Read The Posts Regarding Our Boats. It Will Give You The Mind Set Of The "glass" Boat Owners Towards Our Boats. Some Guys Acknowledge The Uniqueness Of The Boats And Some Are Downright Hostile. I Think I'll Leave My 10 Lb. Hammer Home From Now Own When I Go To The Local Glass Dealer Cause They Just Don't Get It Nor Will I Ever Convince Them To Change Their Opinions. Better To Share The Pride Of Ownership Here With My Fellow Owners Who Know The Good, Bad And Ugly Of These Boats!!
I Know There Are Some Things Said There That I Had Not Considered
Before And I Have Had To Rethink My Attitude And Pull My Horns Back In Some As Well....but For The Money ,they Are The Best Thing Out There.
Just My 2 Cents
Robert

I checked this out. Most of the comments were positive, nothing too surprising there. I did find the banter between Cincinnati and the other fellow bull...whatever is name was, quite amusing. It was like the battle between 2 bulls, neither wanting to give in.
Look forward to meeting Cincinnati at the Northeast TBOT in June..........

I'll have to agree Cinncinatti put up a heck of a fight. Bullshipper has given me some less than amicable replys over there before. If I'm not mistaken he's from some where in Mexico. You know Mexico, the meca of power boating (as if SC was/is???). Anyway, there are some rather closed minds regarding alternative materials. Personally, I like it.

My knee-(jerk) response to the poster who said that a grouper ripped the rod-holder through the side of a 210 was a little overbearing. However, I do stand behind the subsequent postings and have no lingering feelings about BS.

There is also an enormous difference in how I view my boat and how others view theirs. Gaging the sheer number of posts some people put up at THT, it is apparent that those fellas are focused on their boats to a much greater degree than I am on mine. I paid < $15K for my rig (cash). These folks often pay in excess of $100K, and one day, their kids will take on the loan. So there is a lot riding on what people say and see in regards to 'boats'. I fish, they 'hang-out' 50 miles offshore. I don't wax, neither do they because someone else does it for them - but it must be done. So my ending remarks in the referred to thread were really getting at less - the difference between plastic and glass, but rather, being able to elevate my fishing from the jetty to from a capable boat. Triumph has allowed people like me to enjoy sensible boating.

The only other way to put it is… I drive a Ford and my boat is made in North Carolina (please ignore the Honda in the back).

i did this thread not to get anyone riled up, but to just point out that if you havent already(and count your lucky stars if you haven't) encountered the views of "the dark side" especially if you have to deal with non-Triumph dealers for service or what not, there will be those that will belittle you and use the same old tired talking points to put down your boat.
to be forewarned is to be forearmed!!!!
enjoy your buckets of plastic , dig that crazy flexing, and foremost take care of 'em so they don't have to be recycled into deck chairs for those sorry glass owning b@%*$%s

IL-LOGIC-AL - I have to disagree with your signature - you haven't lost your mind...

Your advice would also be useful to the occasional bass boat owner that is brave enough to post on that site.

I'm glad you brought up that thread. I've often wondered who all those boys were that backed me up on the tail-end - before it finally died.

No worries here, I'm proud of my fantastic-plastic CC.

Plastic

According to the official postmaster scales it took 21,683 1/2 gallon milk jugs to make my 210.

Minus caps of course!

God, no wonder I have kidney stones that I have to continually flush out with Fine Pilsner Beer from Miller.

Eat your heart out fiberglass owners.

I have been on the Hull Truth for a long time and have had my share of debates with Bullshipper. He lives down in Mexico and must spend all his time on the site. He has a comment about everything, but if you point out his errors, he usually folds.

For me, after three fiberglass boats, I can't see going back after getting my 210. There is no comparison.........
