MacFest help?

Looking forward to the MacFest in July. I am trying to hold that weekend open. I do have a few questions and suggestions. Is there going to be a fee and how much? Do you have an agenda yet? Are most folks making this a family thing?
As for a suggestion. I'm sure some of us do not fish much for Spanish or King and might need either a refresher course or crash course in finding and fishing for them. I have the 190 and should have no trouble getting out to the Spanish, but probably won't venture out too far for the Kings unless they are within site of land. I might go with the crowd if the seas are good. I've been wanting to give it a try.
If anyone has a few good tips I for one could use the advice. Thanks. Don

HI Mudd-man. Great questions. I've been waiting a couple of weeks now on the specific information from Portside and I've been so busy at work I just haven't had time to call. I'll make it a point to call tomorrow and see when we can get that posted. There will be an entry fee but I don't know how much. Half of the proceeds will be awarded in prize money and the other half will go to support a local charity for troubled teens.

I'll probably be trolling for Spanish myself unless it is a really calm day and the kings are within 5-10 miles or so. I'd love to get out with the downriggers and slow troll some live baits though. I'll ask Denard Harris about the possibilities of getting a local expert on King and Spanish fishing to host a couple of the Friday afternoon seminars. I have an article on my fishing site (www.ncangler.com) and will try to find a good king fishing article to put before then too.

I've booked a room for my whole family for Thursday through Sunday. Looking forward to it!
