TBOT Northeast

Just wanted to get an update on our attendance for next weekend and everyones E.T.A. I am planning on arriving early Friday afternoon, hopefully by 1 pm at the latest. Am coming with my wife, she enjoys fishing, so hopefully we will be compatible for several days on the boat! I'd like to try to have a barbecue on Friday night if you guys are up for it, I know Cincinnati said he is, I could pick up some burgers, dogs etc.. if you guys bring your own beverages. Maybe even some fresh striper if successful!

Would also like to pick a VHF channel for us to use for the weekend. Anyone in the area know one let me know so we can plan accordingly. Maybe we could call "TBOT" to get each other. I will use "Fishahn" for my handle for the weekend.

Then on Sat night maybe we could go out for dinner, but we can decide this when we are there if you guys want! doesn't matter to me, we can check out our digs and decide. not sure about breakfast, don't think our motel has this, I will look into this tomorrow and find out a plan.

we are getting close, I know I am looking forward to it! hope you all are too!

Rich

My goal is to get up there by 1pm at the latest. It should take just over three hours for me to get up there, so if the trip goes smoothly and I'm there early, then please be sure to call 'Cincinnati' on the VHF - my range is pretty good. I drive a black truck. If you see it with no boat on the Triumph trailer, then you'll know where I am

For now, let's use channel 72 for calling until someone can tell us what other 'open' channel would be better suited with little traffic in the area.

Thanks Fishahn for volunteering on the food. I'll bring some canned brew-ha. In fact, thanks for pulling this whole thing together. Oh, and I'll be coming alone. My wife and daughter aren't quite the troopers Fishahn's wife is.

I was planning on being there by early noon Friday also. Had planned on my, but things came up. Friday BBQ is fine with me. You guys may have to use sempahore flags to get my attention. No radio, although I will have my cell.

Well, just got done installing a nice new Garmin GPS 172c and after we got that done, we started up the Yamaha for the first time this season. The 150 HPDI started up on the second try. We let her run for about 5 min. The weather was too nice (still is nice for a change) so we took her out to the lake and ran her for an hour and a half. Ran good, top speed on the GPS were a very pleasing 44-46 mph with full take of gas. I would say we are all ready for next weekend.

You had me worried until I read on... good to hear she is unwinterized.

Outtahere,
finally just took my boat out today also! I had already started her up several weeks ago, same thing second try Yamaha 200 HPDI. I only got up to 47 mph today on Lake Champlain. Water was flat, it was pretty nice out there. didn't run for an hour and a half like you did though. My only problem was my engine trim gauge was working fine for a few minutes then stopped working. not sure what happened, check all connections seemed fine, next I'll check fuses. Not the end of the world, but it is a nice guage to have. maybe I can get the gas guage working at the same time!!

Installed the trim tabs over the weekend too! they are working fine, didn't even need them today however, bought them for choppy conditions, hopefully they will help smooth out the ride.

Also put on the new cushions today.
See you guys on Friday!
