Everyone in the Katrina affected areas including those in GA, are in our Prayers. May they know the strength and comfort that comes from so many of their fellow Americans that care.

Puter Most of the power and phone lines are down in that area. We have a facility in the area and where told not to expect communications back up until around Friday.
On another note some of my friends hunting their dredge near Venice, La. said that they seen total devastation and bodies floating in the water in that area. People watching what happened at N.O. and MS. seem to forget that those places where hit hours after the Venice area by a weaker storm than what hit Venice.

Thanks all. I live on fowl river just north of Dauphin Island. I'm on my way home now from Thailand to start the clean up. My wife says the water has never gotten so high, not even with Hurricane Freddy. The phones are not working land or cell and I have not spoken with her since the evening of the hurricane. I do know she is alright and the house has some roof damage. The good news is the boats OK.

Hey everyone, we just got power back on last night and have been in touch with my folks in Foley/Fish River and Mobile throughout the storm. Fish River was up 6', 100' into the bank and that wasn't one of the lower lying areas either. Dad lost all his clothes but that's all, he weathered the storm in Foley with only minor damage and power has remained on there. Mom in Mobile lost half her roof facing the east and been w/o power eversince. Many trees & fencing down, much worse than any previous hurricaine. She is part of CERT but they haven't been activated yet. My UPS man is taking down a chainsaw, bar & oil and motor oil. Some folks have had their generators stolen and gas siphoned out of their cars. Hopefully they can begin to get some power by Labor Day. If you go down there, you need to take your own gas for the return trip.

Molar We are searching for 3 new fish reefs (aka Semi Trailers we lost during surge) in Mobile bay. If we find them I will send you the numbers. Our intentions at this time is to recover the axles that would leak oil in the enviroment and leave the remainder as fish reefs. This is if we can find them of course and they do not pose any danger to navigation.
