As far as 210 vs 190, most of us owners will admit, no matter what size boat we have, we get that dreaded disease "wantabiggerboat". I had a 19 foot for years and about 18 months ago, I got my 210. I now have over 300 hrs on the outfit and am looking forward to the 23 footer in a couple of years. But as you move up in size, you also move up in cost, both in the initial purchase and operating cost. With my 19 footer, I fished inshore and only put 5 or 6 hrs on the motor per trip. Now with the 210, I am 20-25 miles off shore and it’s not unusually to put 10 hours on the motor in a day. Also with the bigger boat, you will need a bigger towing vehicle. It will depend on what type of fishing you plan to do- not necessarily what type of fishing you do now but what type of fishing you plan to do in the future. A good thing about the 210, you can fish both inshore and off-shore. Its fairly versatile.

As far as the 210 ride – I will tell you I went fishing with a friend on his 23 foot Sea Pro. My 210 handles rough water twice as good coompared to the 23 foot Sea Pro. The ride is definitely more softer then competitors and in some cases softer than larger boats in the same class. It a tough decision – but ain’t it FUN!

You thinking Tahoe size water or pacific?

I figure the "high sierra" handle could mean you are thinking the big lakes.

I use my 210cc almost exclusily on the Pacific and SF Bay. If you are thinking Salmon out here you don't want any thing smaller than the 210cc.

I confine recommendations to thing I know something about. Out here if its saltwater you need the size and freeboard of the 210cc.

19 or 21

I live at 5000 feet and fish Tahoe and Pyramid. Both are very rough at times. Today the winds over the ridges were 146 mile per hour. Where I live we had 75 mph gusts. Both these lakes are bad because of the winds and short coupled waves. They beat you to death and getting and ashore is downright tough. High sierra

HiSierra,

First, I gotta tell you, you will love these soft flexing hull in the short waves. These hull give the smoothest ride you can imagine. And DRY, the flex keeps the chop from becoming spray.

If you can afford it, tow it, and stow it, buy the 21 footer. You won't reget it.
