Transducer Placement?

I have a 2002 21cc and was curious were you place your transom mounted ff for best operation at hi speed on theses hulls? Closer to the motor or up on the transom "stripe" or step.
I am installing a furuno fcv 620. Thanks for your help ....Ed

Thank you very much for the welcome and quick reply. Are you getting good readings up on plane? Looks like you have the wedge installed also?
Thanks again...Ed

You have to be sure to switch between cruising and fishing modes but it does a great job.
