What would be the next best sealant besides rule? I have a new through hull to install and cannot find rule around here. What I can find is
1. latex elastomeric caulk 2. Standard latex caulk 3. Silicone caulk (some of which claim to remain pliable when cured). I am thinking the latex elastomeric is probably the best but it is in the inner hull drain that is still dripping and probably won't dry out for a few days. This won't let latex dry and will wash it away before it can seal.

You can look it up on the internet by Sudsbury Rule Elastomeric. I order mine from C.G. Edwards and others. Consider buying a case maybe still @$65 of large caulk gun tubes as it tends to have a pretty good shelf life so far.

received in two days
I looked everywhere for it too. I finally ordered from Chad Merritt and received in two days. I think the shipping cost for one tube was $5. I since have found a hardware store in Indian Trail that carries it.

It's a "pay me now or pay me later" situation. Use the Rule Elastomeric now or, when whatever else you use fails, use the Rule to fix it later.
Here's a link to C. G. Edwards, that's where I buy mine. C.G.Edwards, Sudbury Boatcare Products Good luck with your mod.

I once found Rule sealant at a local Ace hardware store of all places. Check those stores. If I remember it was clear not white but it did work.
