Transferable Hull Warranty

I wanted to confirm the understanding of the members of the Triumph Owners Association that the TRIUMPH life time hull warranty is not transferable beyond the second successive owner of all TRIUMPH models prior to 2008. This is my understanding based on a conversation this AM with TRIUMPH Customer Service.

First, Triumphowners.net is not an Association, but rather a website created by me (a for profit company) as a private Triumph Owner myself.

Second, Triumph has updated the language in the Triumph Boat Hull Warranty Transfer form (located for download here) to avoid any confusion on this.

Quote:
2008 Model Year and Newer Limited Lifetime Hull Warranty transfer fees: Free within the 1st 10yrs. (No Limit on
Transfers)
2006 Model Year to 2007 Limited Lifetime Hull Warranty transfer fees: Free within the 1st 5yrs. (Only Transferable Once)
2000 Model Year to 2005 Limited Lifetime Hull Warranty transfer fees:
12’ – 17’ Boats $200 (Only Transferable Once)
18’ – 21’ Boats $300 (Only Transferable Once)
1998 Model Year to 1999 only has a 5 year and a Non-transferable Hull Warranty.
The applicable transfer fee, a copy of the new owner’s title/registration, and copy of the bill of sale must accompany
this transfer request. Warranty transfers must be received within 15 days of the subsequent purchase to be valid.
This warranty registration request, if accepted, transfers the warranty coverage remaining on the boat to the new
purchaser. Acceptance of the request does not create any additional warranties or obligation on Triumph.
