Repairs

I was just wondering how would you do a repair to the hull if needed...i.e. something puctures the hull?
I am really considering the 17 CC... Also I was wondering pros and cons on a 2 stroke vs a 4 stroke....
How do they handle....The only other power boat I had for a few years was a jetboat with twin motors....Loved it.......thanks for any input......If anyone has a used 17 I would be interested. Thanks John

You should be able to view the "Classified" section. See the tab above.

Plastic can be welded, in fact I purchased a plastic welder just in case I wanted to fix anything. If it was a large hole, then I would want the factory or a factory authorized repair person to do the job.

Depending on what you purchase, a "lifetime" hull warranty could be transfered to you.

Personally, I prefer a four stroke, but then again, the Evinrude e-tec 2 stroke is not a bad choice. I purchased my 190 Bay used with a Yamaha F115 four stroke, but if I were to order the same boat new, I would order it with a 150 HP Evinrude e-tec which is approximately 45 pounds lighter than a Yamaha F150 four stroke.

I own a 170CC and from my experience with it, it would take a really serious hit to put a hole in the hull. I've hit stumps and floating logs while on plane to where the whole boat shuddered from the impact and could only find a scratch afterward. Even if you did manage to puncture the hull, after you got out of the hospital you could have it repaired to like new specifications very easily. I would worry more about damage to the engine before I gave any more thought of damaging the hull. Just my 1/50th of a dollar.
