I am thinking of buying a 2001 Logic 210cc

I am thinking of buying a 2001 Logic 210cc. It has a 130hp Honda Four stroke. I live in Austin, TX so I would mainly be off shore in the gulf of Mexico. I also frequent the Sea of Cortez. What do you you think?
Is 130hp enough? Is the logic hull comparable to the Triumph? How do these hulls hold up in really hot weather?
Any info would be helpful. Thanks

As with many products, like cars, TV's, Cell Phones, etc, it is my belief that the boats have improved with each model year. There are many older Logic's where the owners have made improvements / modifications so that today they are even better than when new.

We have a Yamaha 150 on our 210CC, and it works fine. Not sure of the difference between 150 and 130.

As to the hot weather. The only issue is proper support when out of the water. The hull is the same color all the way through. There is NO gel coat to fade and crack.

We have a local boat rental place that is still renting out late 1990's model Logics and they are stored in racks designed for fiberglass boats. The tourists just can't destroy them.

Good luck.

Frank,
The best way to tell if 130HP is enough. Take the boat for a sea trial before you buy it. Take all your fishing buddies with you and maybe one more to equal the weight you will have for ice, beer, food, etc. Take it in the ocean and see if it has enough power for you. If it has a T-Top on it it will create drag;if it doesn't and you are plannig on adding one remember it will create drag. I have a 195CC with a 150HP 4 stroke Yamaha. It is perfect for the 195CC. I think most of the guys with 215CC's have 150HP and love it.Just an opinion.Good luck
