215TE or 215cc ?

What are the main differences between the 215 te and the 215 cc? I am looking very seriously into one of these boat for a fishing based family boat.

looking though the threads it seems people are saying it would be good to have trip tabs, does the te come with those standard?

Yamaha? or Suzuki? or Etec? or Honda?

Are the fish boxes self draining?

It seems everyone on the forums are happy with their boats. They ride fairly dry (for a centre console) smooth and are robust. It seems like a perfect boat to me

I live in Western Australia the weather tends to get fairly horrible, very quickly. How do they handle with following seas or punching into a very strong wind (30 odd knots)?

The nearest dealer is about 3 hours away from me so I was hoping you could help me toward making the right decision

Any additional information you could help me with would be appreciated

Thanks Edge

The 215 TE is basically a boat that has all the options standard as well as the powder coated t-top and powder coated stainless bow rail and leaning post. The boat comes standard with trim tabs which are helpful to balance a boat heavy one side of the other due to loading. The Fish boxes drain overboard via a diaphragm macerator. The engine would depend on the owner's preference and what your local dealer offers/services. The trim tabs are auto retract and the switching in the boat is digital. Basically the Tournament Edition is for someone who appreciates something different and wants a loaded boat.

As to the sea conditions, what the boat will handle in general is up to the skill of the captain.

Check out for all the details on how this boat stands out when compared to the normal 215 here:
