Unhappy Storage Lids swelling?

I am the owner of a Triumph 210CC model year 2002. Aside from having problems keeping hinge screws in place the only other real problem with my boat is the transom lids not centering over the storage compartments. It appears as if the area around where the lid hinges connect on the sides of the inside hull have swollen outward & have offset the lids. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what is the solution?

Hi Nathan. Since you own a Triumph I hope you'll take us up on our offer of a free 1-year Captains Club Member subscription by registering with the required information. Just click on the "Register" link above and follow the instructions. I'll check with the factory for you on the lid question.

Here is the answer from the factory:

Its hard to say without seeing it but usually sanding the edges down to fit works well.
Any chance you could post some pictures of it?
