Cracks?

I am wondering how many owners experience cracks in their Triumph boats? I have been reading good press and bad press about Triumph boats, and trying to sort through the hype. Your answers are appreciated.

Erica, glad you found us.

The search feature on this site really does work. You can search all models or be very specific.

It is my belief that the models get better every year. The only ones I can remember have the problem you mentioned was 2002 and earlier, and some models were more prone to problems than others.

We have a boat storage/sales/boat rental place that is still renting out late 1998-1999 models. These boats have hit every bridge, dock, oyster bed, sand bar, etc in Sarasota County, with out major problems. The renters destroy the motors, but can’t destroy the boats.

Just make sure you can transfer the lifetime hull warranty if you want to play it real safe. Then the factory can take care of any problems with the hull. Some owners purchased Triumph boats without the warranty (blems) to save money and have never had a problem. They knew what they were getting and saved a lot.

Good luck on your search. Please spent time reading on this site. Our family loves our 2005 210CC. We would not have a fiberglass boat, unless we had money to burn and it was a yacht – like 50 plus feet long.

There are a few posts on the site from owners that experienced small cracks. This has not happened very often and when it has it can be repaired fairly simply, as Roplene can be welded. If there is someone that has actually had this happen to them, perhaps they will respond. I have owned two Triumph 21' boats and both have been very tough and easy to maintain.
